This Privacy Policy explains how MECMISR Business Messaging ("MECMISR", "we", "us" or "our") processes information when businesses and their authorized users use the MECMISR Business Messaging Platform.
1. Information we process
Depending on the services enabled by a customer, we may process account and workspace information, business contact details, WhatsApp Business Account identifiers, business phone-number identifiers, messaging configuration, customer contact information, conversation content, message metadata, media references, delivery/read status, support records, usage information, audit logs, and billing-related records.
2. WhatsApp Business Platform and Meta
The platform integrates with the WhatsApp Business Platform provided by Meta. A business may authorize access to its own WhatsApp Business assets using Meta-provided authorization and onboarding mechanisms, including Embedded Signup. Use of Meta and WhatsApp services is also subject to the applicable Meta and WhatsApp terms and policies.
3. How information is used
- Provide business messaging and customer communication services.
- Route messages to the correct organization or workspace.
- Display contacts, conversations and message history.
- Provide authorized automation, AI assistance and human-agent workflows.
- Maintain security, abuse prevention, service reliability and audit records.
- Provide subscription, billing and usage administration.
- Respond to support, privacy and data-deletion requests.
4. AI and automation
If a business enables AI or automation features, relevant message content and business-provided knowledge may be processed to generate responses, classify requests, automate workflows, or assist authorized human agents. Businesses are responsible for configuring these features appropriately and for obtaining any notices or consents required for their use.
5. Legal bases and customer responsibility
Where applicable, we process information to perform our services, comply with legal obligations, protect legitimate security and operational interests, and act on instructions from business customers. Each business customer remains responsible for its own communications, customer relationships, lawful basis, notices, consents, and compliance obligations.
6. Data sharing and service providers
We may share or transmit information only as necessary to operate the service, including with Meta/WhatsApp, cloud infrastructure, security, communications, analytics, billing, AI, or support service providers engaged for legitimate platform functions. We do not sell customer conversation content to advertisers.
7. Security
We use administrative, technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including access controls, tenant separation, secure transport, credential protection, auditing, and restricted operational access. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.
8. Retention
Information is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, meet contractual requirements, maintain security and audit records, resolve disputes, and comply with applicable law. Retention periods may vary by data type, customer configuration and legal obligation.
9. Data deletion and account disconnection
Businesses may request deletion of eligible platform data or disconnect their WhatsApp integration. Instructions are available on our User Data Deletion page. Some information may be retained where required for security, fraud prevention, billing, dispute resolution, or legal compliance.
10. International processing
Service providers and platform infrastructure may process information in countries different from the business or end user. Where required, appropriate safeguards are used for such processing.
11. Children
MECMISR Business Messaging is a business service and is not intended for use by children as account holders.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in the service, legal requirements, or operational practices. The effective date shown above will be updated when material changes are published.
